NVC AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Restoring Connections in Relationships

Nonviolent Communication supports you to find that beautiful and often elusive connection to yourself and others. It helps you to be heard in conversations where your voice was previously dismissed. It is especially needed in relational breakdowns when you can’t find resolution and find yourself in communication circles going nowhere.

ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

Mindfulness and Well-Being in Movement

Alexander Technique helps people who are ill-at-ease in themselves - typically manifesting as excess tension, back and neck pain, discomfort in their body, poor posture or feeling regularly stressed and wanting to learn new movement patterns that support wellness, presence, ease and greater lightness of being.

When there is conflict between people it may feel like it's impossible to move forward.

My Nonviolent Communication support is based on building connections and a space for everyone’s feelings and needs to be heard. Thus opening the channels for better communication. I have seen beautiful connections flourish again and people come to surprisingly new solutions and fresh insights.

I teach my clients new principles for navigating conflict. As they apply them over and over they begin to experience:

  • Relief that their needs are held and considered with care

  • Greater connection, understanding and intimacy with others

  • Greater satisfaction in relationships as they learn to drop the ‘blame-game’

  • Courage to embrace the ‘please and thank you game’

Clients Testimonials

  • "We were able to say things to each other that had remained unsaid for too many years"

“My sister and I approached Penny to help us resolve a long-standing relationship difficulty. She held a space for us to navigate previously difficult subjects in a way that we both felt heard and supported. As a result of her calm, professional and compassionate presence we were able to say things to each other that had remained unsaid for too many years and then move on to a new and much more open footing with each other. Many thanks, Penny, I really appreciate your help”.

    Eva - HYPNOTHERAPIST

  • "I am no longer wanting a divorce, and I have much more hope that we can work through these difficult times".

“Concretely some of the lasting changes we have made are: I notice there is less resentment between us; we have more understanding about our different needs; we have booked a babysitter to go out and have some fun together one night a week; we are looking for ways to spend more quality time together enabling deeper conversation as well as fun. I'm seeing some light, and feeling more affection towards Tomos than before.”

    Llinos - ARCHAEOLOGIST

  • "I am especially impressed by the reduction in pain, which was limiting my activities."

“Four months ago I embarked on my Alexander Technique sessions, I found the taster session shocking, in the real sense of the word. After 20 mins on the couch, being gently arranged by my teacher, I felt unable to stand up! Intrigued, I have continued, initially with a degree of scepticism, but now totally accepting that change is possible.

My main problems had been: a lack of balance, a painful middle back on standing for a couple of hours and right knee pain. In such a short time I have seen an improvement in all these conditions. I am especially impressed by the reduction in pain, which was limiting my activities. I was not however prepared for another benefit - a reduction in blood pressure. After thirty years of treatment, my medication has now been significantly reduced and there is no other explanation for this improvement.”

On my life’s path, I have, probably like you, encountered many wonderful and painful life events evoking a full rainbow of emotions. These have been the catalysts for learning and strange as it may seem, been my path to letting go of suffering and increasing a fuller awe and appreciation for this precious life we live. My wish is for the skills and knowledge I have accumulated over the decades to be of use to others.

When we change how we relate to ourself, we change how we relate to others…
